Pigs

We are certified as a Step 3 Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) swine operation:


  • 100% outdoor access to 3-5 acres per fenced pen containing ~75 hogs with a minimum of 25% vegetative cover year-round for grazing and rooting;
  • Sheltered in wood sheds or hoop tents with 2-3 feet of straw bedding year-round and umbrellas set up in the hot summers to prevent sunburning;
  • Fed only crushed non-GMO grains supplemented with amino acids and minerals for proper development and growth and non-spray third-cut alfalfa and orchard grasses;
  • Ad lib access to clean water;
  • Never exposed to antibiotics, animal by-products, or hormones;
  • Access to wallows/ sprinklers/showers during hot months;
  • No use of farrowing crates/gestation stalls, tail docking, teeth clipping, or de-tusking;
  • Castration at <5 days from birth to minimize trauma to the boarlet; and
  • Minimum weaning age of 60 days.

Cattle and Yaks


The Black Angus beef cattle and Tibetan yaks are raised free-range, roaming on hundreds of acres of recently cut wheat or native grasses and planted cover crops. They are also fed non-spray third-cut alfalfa to ensure that the meat is well-marbled and flavorful.
